Psuedo V-day Indulgence Part Two:

I had made reservations at this nice Asian bistro restaurant in Downtown Ann Arbor. However, I copied the address wrong and we ended up on State St. and not Main st. We could have easily gone to the restaurant late, but we were standing in front of Ashley’s - a bar that Marcin had been wanting to go back to for the longest time. Since this was supposed to be a treat for him, I let him make changes to our plans – Ashley’s it was!

On the healthy living front:
Ashley’s is this great bar in Ann Arbor that’s close to campus and boast an enormous selection of beer. They even have a beverage guide that divides the beer by type and tells you where it’s brewed from.

For our first round, I picked an oldie but goodie, Lindemans Framboise. Marcin was able to finally try Bells Hopslam Ale that a coworker told him about.

Here is Marcin making his debut on my blog!  I told him about my new hobby and he was all for it. I think he was just excited about the new tech that will be half his once we are married.

Anyways, he wanted me to take a nice picture of him, so here it is:

Expect to see this handsome face making an various appearance on this blog.

We decided for dinner to spilt a pizza. We got the Pizza Margharita (olive oil, tomato, basil, and mozzarella cheese) and we added artichoke hearts and olives.
De-lish!  I was good and had two slices . . .Marcin had three!  The rest we took home!

For our second round, Marcin had some beer called Dragon’s Milk (?) and I decided to give Mead a second shot.
I had tried mead in D.C. when my friend Melissa and her now fiancĂ©e Dan raved about it. The one that I had tried in D.C. tasted like cough medicine! This one at Ashley’s (Dansk Mjod Viking Blod) actually tasted good.

After Ashley’s, we walked across campus to Bubble Island and got bubble tea (milk tea with tapioca bubbles). I have been wanting bubble tea for ages! Ergo, I drunk it all before I remember to take a picture!

After shooting hoops at Pinball Pete’s (to which I beat Marcin 42-20!) we walked back to the car and ended our weekend Pseudo V-Day extravaganza!

On the fashion front:
I went for a dressy casual look and and paired a fancy red tank with a light gray cardigan.  Add my favorite Lee jeans and a nice pair of black heels.  Again, no picture because i  keep forgetting.  I do have to say, I should have re thought the shoes.  Walking all over campus and Downtown Ann Arbor in three inch heals is not something that I'm use to!  My footsies were not happy with me when we got back to my place.
