Shutdown

Wednesday evening and Thursday were not the best days for me emotionally.  However, I have made a committment to myself to blog and while I took a break yesterday, I will give you my food recap for Wednesday and Thursday. 

Wednesday
Breakfast:
Yogurt parfait and skim latte from Espresso Royale (Every Wednesday is $2.00 latte days!)

Lunch:
I met a friend at Bubble Island because we were both craving Bubble Tea.  I knew that they had food, but their selection was A) not healthy and B) VERY slim!  I went with the Popcorn Chicken and told myself to make up for it at dinner.

Dinner:

Warm spinach with sauted vegetables.  I added salsa and mexican blend cheese.  1 and half mystery sausage that Marcin's parents gave him.  I tested which topping was better pickle relish or bbq sauce.  Bbq sauce won.  Pan fried sweet potato.  Marcin usually does this with regular potatoes, but I wanted to see if sweet potatoes could work as well.  It did!  I would actually go far as to say that it was even better than regular potatoes.  A glass of red wine to round off the meal.


I just had to share this kick ass picture I took of the potatoes!  I started to play with my camera a little bit more and I think I found the right settings.

Thursday
Breakfast:

I attended a presentation in the moring and brunch was provided.  Fruit, half a bagel with light cream cheese and decaf coffee with Splenda was in order.

Lunch:

Roast Beef Wrap from a new health place I discovered on campus - Revive + Replenish.  It was De-Lish!


In the afternoon, I enjoyed a peppermint chocolate cookie (not pictured) and a cup of hot chocolate with my co-workers.

On the healthy living front:
You know how some people start to eat alot when they are depressed or stressed.  I am the opposite.  When I'm depressed or stressed, I feel full and so I don't want to eat.  Luckily, since starting this new eating regimine, my stomach definitely gave me signals that told me that I needed to eat.  Normally, I wouldn't touch anything until dinner time. 

On the fashion front:
Rocked some pretty cool outfits on Wednesday and Thursday.  Unfortunately, given my mood, I didn't take a picture of myself.

On the running front:
Yoga was a no go because of the snow storm that hit Michigan on Wednesday afternoon.  Due to lack of sleep on Wednesday night, I passed out early on thursday before I could muster up any energy to go to the gym.  I will rectify that tonight though and make going to the gym and keeping my date with the elliptical. 

I want to blog about my Thursday dinner, but that in of itself is a seperate experience in of itself!
