And she's out . . .

Sorry guys for a late post.  I've been fighting a migraine since yesterday afternoon.  It started around 3 o'clock in the afternoon.  I thought it was a hunger headache, so I found my leftovers from Friday and ate the rest of it.
That helped a little bit, but I still felt a little pressure in my head.  On my way home, I was debating between going for a run outside or doing my full body workout.  My friends on facebook convince me that a run was better for a headache.  One of my friends, who is becoming a physical therapist, said that strength training would actually aggravate my headache more.

So I went for a 2 miler around my neighborhood.  I know that I said that I didn't want to run on concrete anymore, but I could not resist the beautiful weather (mid 70's).  I will post my stats at the end of this post.

After my run, I cleaned up and Marcin came over with tomatoes.  I wanted to try something that I saw at Lucky Kitchen - Tomato egg stir fry.

First take 3 eggs and scramble them up.  I added salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (not in picture).

Next, take two tomatoes and chop them up.
I also chopped up some garlic and added oil to two pans.  The recipe called for the eggs to be cooked first, then removed from the pan, and for the tomatoes to be cooked in the same pan.  I decided to go for a two pan approach:
Cook the eggs to your liking (I like mine a little bit on runny side) and cook the tomato for about thirty seconds (you want the tomato to be warm and not mushy).

At the same time, I made a batch of rice.  I have tons of white rice I need to go through before I move.

Put everything together on a plte, sprinkle some parsley and Voila!
While it was delicious, I thought that it was missing something.  I think it needed more seasoning.

Unfortunately, my migraine came back in full force after dinner and I was out.  Even after taking my migraine medication, I was useless.  Usually, a good night's rest work and I'm typically better in the morning.  Unfortunately, it didn't work this time.  I woke up still in pain.  I called off work sick and went back to sleep.  I slept until noon!  Then I was lying on the couch for another couple of hours.  It was a complete waste of a day.  I started feeling better around 6.  Marcin and I went for a walk.  The fresh air helped me alot.

I mostly snacked on leftovers in small plates starting at noon. No pictures due to my weakened state.

On the healthy living front:
When I started feeling better around 6, I was craving greasy chinese food or sushi.  Both are bad for the migraine that was wanning.  Both high in sodium, chinese food and sushi would probably aggravate it and cause another one.  Instead, I attempted my first Green Monster (the breakfast trend on the healthy living blogs that I follow as of late).
For this Green Monster:
1) 1/2 cup of milk
2) 1 scoop of protein
3) 2 cups of spinach
4) 1 packet of oatmeal
5) 1/2 a banana

End product:
Um . . .yeah, I didn't like it.  It was off.  I will try again soon, but this might be one of the healthy living staples that I will not follow!

On the fashion front:
Yeah, I was in my pj's most of the day.  Obviously no picture!

On the running front:
2 miles in 23:00 minutes running around downtown Plymouth
I picked up on the 5k schedule that I was following.  It actually called for a 1.5 mile run, but i decided to go for a 2 miler instead.  I have to say it was a B.I.G. adjustment from running on a treadmill to running outside.  I need to get use to the wind resistance again.  But I did complete my run and remembered to stretch like crazy afterwards!

I started out just adding a little bit of spinach so it's not overwhelming. Also try some berries for more flavor to mask the spinach.

@Courtney - Thanks . . I will have to try it. I also think that next time I will add ice. My monster was luke warm when I attempted to drink it, so that may have been a factor.
