Good Sunday Morning my lovilies!
It has been a crazy weekend starting with Friday. There was an all day event at work that I had to:
- Serve as official photographer
- Serve as official videographer
- Serve as AV technical help
After the event, I was in a slightly loopy and hyper mood. However, that mood was quickly killed by a condescending comment of a coworker. Sometimes, I really wish that people remember that I know more than I say. I was asking a simple question, that needed a simple answer, and instead got a lecture instead. *Sigh* Needlessly to say, I was bummed for the rest of the night.
To cheer me up, Marcin took me out for sushi! We went to our favorite (and close to the house) sushi places - O'Sushi!
Usually I order green tea, but after the day I had a work, I went for something stronger.
Bonzai Tea - Imagine a Long Island Ice Tea, but instead of Tequila, I believe they used Sake.
It was exactly what I wanted! For Sushi, we picked 4 rolls - Michigan Roll (my favorite), White Tiger Roll, Salmon Pizza Roll, Fireball roll). I remembered to take a picture mid meal.
We didn't finish all of the rolls. We left with 2 pieces of the Michigan Roll and one piece each of the other rolls.
Our original plan is to finish up the trim in the dining, living, and sitting room now that the hardwood is installed, but we decided to rest for the night instead and watch the season finale of Spartacus: Blood and Sand. With the episode title of "Kill Them All," you can imagine how bloody and graphic the episode was. We love this show! I hope that Andy Whitfield gets through his treatments for Non-Hodgkin lymphoma well. He is a great actor!
Saturday
My original plan for Saturday was to spend a "Me" day and go shopping. However, Marcin's plans with a friend fell through and we decided that we would spend the day on the house.
Breakfast
For breakfast, I decided to try my hand at a bowl of oatmeal creations that Tyler @ Healthy and Fun and Emily @ Emily Eats Clean frequently create.
In this bowl:
- 1 packet of regular Quaker Oats Oatmeal
- 1 spoonful of DCPB (dark chocolate peanut butter)
- 1/2 cup of cheerios
- A handful of almonds
- 1 spoonful this:
I'm usually not a fan of jam or jelly. I have to be in the right mood for it. Since this was a different flavor than what I have had in the past, I thought that I would use it for this experiment.
I have to say, it was delicious. The jam gave the oatmeal a fruity flaver that wasn't overpowerful like it would be in the prepackaged fruity oatmeals you can get. I am definitely add this to the breakfast rotation.
Furniture shopping, a stop at both Home Depot and Lowes, and a wardrobe change due to the colder than expected weather soon followed. By the time that part of the day was done, lunch was in order.
Left over sushi. Really cold sushi is definitely an acquired taste. But I needed a quick and easy lunch because we had to go to a couple of places before getting to the work on the house - Gardner White (bought a new dining set), and Bed, Bath, and Beyond (house organization supplies).
Saturday was so jammed pack with stuff, it warrants two, yes, two posts!
Stay tuned!
"On the healthy living front, On the fashion front, and On the running front for the weekend will be posted on the next post."

That sucks about your co-worker. I worked a job I absolutely LOVED but there was one girl there that made me dread going to work. She always had something rude to say. What kind of work do you do? I know it might be on your blog but I haven't found it yet.
