Wednesday
Dinner:
Before yoga, I opened my fridge because I was hungry and I wanted something light. So standing in front of my fridge, I spotted 3 things - bread, tomato, and mozzerella cheese. Put it together . . .why yes please!
Not all of the tomato fit in the sandwhich, so I sliced it up, added sea salt and pepper . .PRESTO, tomato fries (I know, I know, the slices are not cooked in any way, but hey it's my dinner, I can call them tomato fries if I wanna!). Paired with my sandwich:
My first try of Almond Milk. Both Marcin and I have been curious about it and I had the opportunity to buy it on Monday's grocery shopping trip! I have got to say . . .WAY better than soy. I think I got bored wit the taste of soy milk. This milk . . HOLY YUMS!
Went to Yoga with my good friends Brooke and Michelle and I made a new friend while at yoga! After yoga, went to the house to help Marcin get the house ready for the hardwood to be installed! I'm so excited. The installers came today (Thursday) while I was at work and Marcin has been sending me pictures. I'm very excited to go home and see them in person!
Thursday
Breakfast:
Did you get your free brewed coffee from Starbucks today? I did!
Paired my delicious Starbucks Brew of the Day with a WW chocolate chip pancake (there's only 2 left!) and Devil's food cake cupcake that a coworker baked for one of our meetings on Tuesday. That definitely held me over till lunch time.
Lunch:
I shall call this "Mini Taste of the Medditeranean." (grape leaves and tabbouli).
I've got to say, I didn't think that this would hold me over for the rest of the work day, but I'm still full! I think I will grab some peppermint tea though to get me through this last hour and a half at work.
Well, I feel a little bit better.
On the healthy living front:
My wallet is loving the fact that I've been bringing both a breakfast and a lunch to work AND have a fridge full of groceries to play with for dinner options. I've been able to save $30.00 which I will be applying to my massage appointment and first mani/pedi of the season! I'm also excited about a Food Exchange with Tyler from Healthy and Fun! I can't wait to see what he sends me!
On the fashion front:
Thursday's outfit:
(AH! My expression! I think I was saying "In a minute" to Marcin during the picture! LOL!)
My new Express top that I got on sale and black pinstripped dress pants. Paired this outfit with Maroon heels that I got at Payless. My favorite part of this outift - the top is an Express size small! The first time in probably about 4 years that I have been able to fit into a Express size small top without the buttons looking like they are going to burst at the chest or the sleeves cutting off my circulation on my arms!
Now, I do want to note that you shouldn't judge your beauty or your progression towards a healthy weight by your clothing size (Caitlin at the Healthy Tipping Point would scream "OPERATION BEAUTIFUL!"). However, it is a bit of a confidence boost to realize that clothes that you thought were off limits are now options! When I tried this top on at Express on a whim, I almost screamed at the top of my lungs when I realized that the top fit perfectly on me! So, if you find articles of clothing that are in a smaller size and fit you like a glove, I say do a little dance because that means that all your hard work is paying off!
On the running front:
I think for tonight, I'm going to take a walk around the neighborhood. It's such a beautiful day, I want to enjoy the scenery. If I run, then I'm concentrating too much on my form and pace that I do not get to enjoy the scenery. I'm looking forward to the reflecting time. There are a couple of things weighing on my mind right now, and I need the time to think them through.
