Tuesday
Breakfast:
Cherry Oatmeal Muffin and Skim Vanilla Latte from Espresso Royale
Tuesday is Meeting-Pa-Looza day at work. I went from one meeting into another from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm!
Lunch:
Mini-mini version of my "I Am Spartacus" Dinner." Can you tell that I'm running low on my Mediteranean supplies at work? This is the last of the grapes leaves and hummus. I still have tabbouleh (I know that I've been spelling Tabbouleh fifty different ways, but this is the spelling on the container, so I'm sticking with this!)
Finally got to sit at my desk and get some work done in the afternoon. Another bonus from Tuesday's post, I found out that rialeilani, a blogger who's blog I've been reading, works near me! We are planning a lunch sometime in the near future! Blogger's UNITE!
Even though I was stuffed from lunch, I knew I needed to refuel for my run after work. Enter these beauties:
I had one serving which equal 7 sticks. . . like I said, I wasn't starving, so I didn't want to stuff myself.
After work, I went for my run. It was a difficult run, but I stuck with it. I really need to find a trail close by because concrete is KILLING my knees (stats posted at the end).
Shower, dress, and it was off to Pint Night! It was C.R.O.W.D.E.D. The Red Wings were playing the Phoenix Coyotes (who were up 2-1 in the play off series). Yeah, we smoked them! 3-0! GO WINGS!
Dinner:
While watching the smack down, I enjoyed some bar fare:
Pot Roast sliders, Sweet Potato fries, and Hoegaarden.
I should have learned my lesson from last Tuesday! Sweet potato fries are filling! Once again, I was stuffed. Not as stuffed as last Tuesday, but I was still stuffed! Note to self . . sweet potato fries, just the sweet potato fries!
On the healthy living front:
Tina frmo Carrots 'N' Cake wrote this wonderful article of how to eat healthy and on a budget. For example, swap fresh berries (which can spoil pretty fast) with frozen (not sweetened) kind. Although, I recently discovered that if you move store bought berries from their container and put them in a glass jar, they keep for a couple days longer! My friend Melissa also wrote about how she makes her own frozen vegetables from real veggies. I high recommend (and shamelessly plug) that you check it out!
On the fashion front:
My outfits of late have been your typicall short sleeve dress top and dress pants variety. Nothing of noteworthy. Today, I'm rocking in my maroon heels from Payless though!
I hearts these shoes.
Remember my coat from Sunday?
Well, a friend of mine asked what brand it is so she can find it on Ebay. It's Vertigo Paris, one of the BCBG lines (Thank you Tiffany!). I went ahead and did some digging and found this coat on ebay for $247.99!!! I bought it for $39.99 at Marshalls! Talk about high fashion savings!
On the active living front:
3 miles in 34 minutes
Definitely not my best time. It was a difficult run, partly because I was a little A.D.D. with it. I went into it thinking I would do my musical interval run (run during the chorus, walk during the verses). But I started running and thought that maybe I can do one solid half mile. I did, but then I would run through a chorus and verse, walk for a chorus, then run till the end of the song. I also caught some major wind resistance which I'm still acclimating to. I also did one solid half mile at the end of my run. There is one point in this last half mile where I always seemt o punk out and start to walk for a bit. But I stuck with it and pulled through in that last half mile.
I also need to work on my pace. I started to have knee issues around the second mile, so I tried to move forward with my hips. It eased the pain off of my knees, but then I was increasing my speed so much that I burnt out fast. I'm interested to see (with a Garmin HINT HINT) what my pace is at any given time during my run.

Thanks for the shameless plug! I'm glad you liked my post :)
If you're looking for trail running, I know of a few Downriver I can take you to that I am familiar with from of my cross-country days. All 5k distances. Of course, if you go with me it will be more of a run-walk as I am sorely out of shape, but at least you'll learn the trail!
