Friday
Dinner:
Marcin and I went to Bucca Di Beppo for a food tasting for our rehearsal dinner. We honestly didn't know what to expect/do! If you never been to Bucca, it's an interesting experiece. When they seat you to your table, you walk through the kitchen! This time around, the hostess introduced the head chef and the dessert chef to us. We got to our table and met Tara, the Sales Manager. She gave us a tour of the different rooms that we could have our party and said that we have a tentative hold on one of them. Next she gave us a copy of the banquet menu that we can choose from. For our tasting, we can choose one salad, one pasta dish (though for the rehearsal dinner, we choose two), one entree, and one dessert.
We started off dinner with a nice basket of bread:
Next up, insalata! We selected the Mozzarella Caprese (Slices of tomato, mozzarella, and basil leaves). Not pictured because our love of cheese and tomato compelled us to devour the plate the second it hit the table!
Next came our pasta and entree selection - Chicken Marsala and Penne San Remo.
My Plate!
OMG! Deliciouso! We were happy campers!
We took half of the pasta and one of the chicken breast as leftovers for Saturday (yay!). Next up dessert. We selected tiramisu. Now, you are probably expecting a decent size slice of tiramisu, right? Oh wait till you see what landed on our table!
Holy Bowl of Tiramisu Batman!
To give you some perspective:
Seriously, it was a big as our heads!
We also had fun with the HUGE spoon they gave us to dig in with!
Ok, maybe a little too much fun! We dug into this bowl of tiramisu goodness and ate half of it. We made the conscious decision to reserve the other half for breakfast for Saturday (oooh, tiramisu and german coffee! Dream!)
WE HEARTS IT! (Sorry, had to embrace my inner Demi Levato!) I will be talking to my parents about the menu soon and then call Tara back to confirm. I get neverous that whenever we are "penciled" in for a spot. I want that baby to be penned!
We are also coming back to Bucca in May for my birthday. They have a spaghetti and meatballs dish I HAVE to try. . .the meatballs are a half a pound! I have got to see this beast!
Went back to the house for some much needed chill time with Spartacus: Blood and Sand! Only one more episode left for the first season! Marcin and I are on the edge of our seats!
