What does 2 years of leaves look like?

After an exciting Saturday, you would think that we would have attempted for a low key Sunday, right?  No!

Breakfast:
Per the birthday girl's request, we made eggs and bacon!
2 eggs (per person) with bits of bacon and seasoned with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, 2 slices of Turkey bacon, 1 slice of Polish bread (cut in half).  German coffee with sugar free creamer = Yummy in the Tummy.

Since it was finally nice outside, and we sort of had the time, Marcin and I checked out the playscape that came with the house.
Can't you just here the "EEEEEEEH"?
Here's my attempt at climbing a rope in small heels.  Ooh, check out the tricep!  Definitely inspired to work on my arms now!
Of course Marcin got in on the rope action!
Sherry decided to stay on the ground.  After playing around, it was time for Sherry to leave and for me and Marcin to work on the house.

You want to know what 2 years of leave look like on your front lawn!?
And that is only the dry leaves!  Because the house sat for about 2 years, no one was taking care of the lawn.  All of the leaves piled up in our front lawn, all in the front garden.  The top layer was huge!  When I finally got down to the bottom layer, all of the leaves were wet!

After raking the top layer of leaves, Marcin and I had to stop working and go to dinner with his parents.  It was his mom's birthday so we went to her favorite restaurant - On the Border.  I didn't bring my camera because this was the first time for me going out with both his mom and dad and I was too nervous (mostly because of his dad the the language barrier).  The whole family speaks polish and while his dad tries to talk to me, he reverts to polish and I have to have Marcin translate for me.  I didn't want to add "Hey I take pictures of my food?" on top of the conversation.  I don't know how that will translate.

After dinner, it was time to bag up the leaves.  Love the way we opened up the Lawn and Leaves bag:
Yep, that's me in the bag.  Basically, I would stick myself inside the bag and thrash my hands around at the folds so that the bag can stand upright!  I bet the neighbors got a kick out of it!  Speaking of neighbors, we met quite a few of them as we were raking the leaves.  I got the sense that they did not lilke the previous owners.  There was a sense of relief that the house sold and sort of "Wow, you must have a lot of work to do?"  And that was before we said that we were working on the house!  I'm afraid we may have a Desperate Housewife type of neighborhood on our hands!  Oh well.
When all was said and done, our front lawn went from this:

To this:
Those are all the wet leaves.  We are hoping to dry them out and then rake them up!  I think for this year, I'm just going to clean up the front lawn garden so that it is bearable.  Next summer, I have plans to replant some of these bushes and add flowers.

It was 7:30 by the time we finished bagging.  A bath, some champagne, and deep conversation about low and high sugars later, Marcin and I were done and out for Sunday!

I leave you know with Marcin up in a tree . . .after he climbed it and I yelled to him "Now show me sexy!"
I heart this guy!
