Birthday Reflection

In lieu of a normal post, I want to reflect a little bit before my birthday weekend.  It's going to be busy and I don't think I will have time to post throughout.

On Sunday, I enter my last year in my twenties.  I get the feeling that the normal reaction to this is one of dismay and panic.  Many thoughts of "Oh no, but I didn't do this . .or that" or "ZOMG, I'm almost 30!" 

However, I've decided that instead of falling into that trap, I'm going to reflect on what I have already accomplished!

I fell in love with a truly spectacular man and he proposed to me on October 23, 2009.

I was actually paid to complete my Master's degree and graduated with a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership.

I got a full ride scholarship for my undergrad and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. (Disclaimer: For those Affirmative Action haters, my scholarship was based on my community service and academic performance in high school and NOT by my race!)

I've ran my first 5K.

I got my first full time job at the University of Michigan and have been rocking at it since 2007.

I became Contributing Health Editor for Foodbuzz.com

I've started this blog (and it's been awesome!).

I participated in my first Food Exchange.

I learned to shoot a Bow and Arrow.

I learned how to shoot both a hand gun and sniper rifle.

I got to see Mount Rushmore.

I ran on the rim of the Grand Canyon.

I took a road trip to our Nation's capitol.

I've gone snowmobiling in Traverse City.

I've been to Las Vegas SEVEN times.

I've been to Myrtle Beach.

I've been to Holland, MI and saw my beautiful tulips! 

I've gone Jet skiing in Florida and in Michigan.  I went

I took hip hop and ballroom classes.

I've been to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and England.

Birthday Wish List item # 3 - Canon Rebel EOS DSLR Camera - I recently went to Best Buy and made the mistake of checking the DSLR's out.  Needless to say I left pouting because I wanted one real bad!  I would like to really get into photography.  Unfortunately, there are no courses for the camera that I have but for 35mm or DSLR cameras. 

Birthday Wish List item #2 - Coach Poppy Sparkle Leather Groovy - If you've been reading my blog, you know that this is one of two purses that I have been obsessing about!

Birthday Wish List item #1 - Madison Leather Hippie - This has been my ULTIMATE dream purse (of the moment)!  I don't know why, but I've been truly obsessing about this purse since I laid my eyes on it!

I'm hopeless I know!
