A busy weekend

This weekend turned into a busy weekend out of the blue.  Here's the weekend recap.

Friday
After a long nap and some stretching, the pain finally subsided in my entire body!  Marcin and I met up with Stella and Tim for Ethiopian Food!  There used to be an great Ethiopian restaurant in Downtown Detroit, The Blue Nile, but they closed.  So we took them to Addis Ababa after our great experience the last time!  We had the same Ethiopian Feast.

Dinner

This time, some Ethiopian Coffee was enjoyed.

Oh man, it was delicious!

After some good Ethiopian eats, it was back to the hizzy for another Droid Geek Convention (LOVE Music Junk App!) and Ping Pong Playa action.

Thus ended a great, and yet painful, Friday!

Saturday
Woke up craving Dunkin Donuts.

Breakfast

 Bagel Twist with Light Cream Cheese and Iced Coffee with 2 sugars

While Marcin took my dad shooting, I ran errands all day.   They called me up for lunch.  We went to Buffalo Wild Wings.  Took some fun pictures with my Dad and Marcin.

So I forgot to take pictures of the food because I was too busy talking with my boys.  I had the popcorn shrimp and fish combo.

After dropping off my dad and then buying a sectional couch (cause that always goes together!), we headed to our friends the Scherer's for some fireworks action in Redford!

The fireworks were fun.  I love fireworks and never really get tired of seeing them!  We stayed after and played Apples to Apples and had some fun time outside.

Sunday

Even though we didn't get home until 1:00 am, I managed to get up at 8:30 am for a 3 mile run.  The run was supposed to be on Saturday, but I couldn't get up early enough to go for my run.  So I went for my run early Sunday morning and was quite proud of my run.

When I got back, I got ready to go bridesmaid dress shopping for my friend, Melissa's wedding.  I made a weird breakfast.

I wasn't really craving breakfast-y type foods but I knew that I needed to eat something.  So I had something with protein and greens.  I also added artichokes and almonds too.

Dress shopping was fun! We found a bridesmaids dress that all of us were happy with and it was awesome to spend time with sonme of my sorority sisters!  I also got to break in my bridal shoes too!

They were actually comfortable.  I do need to buy padding for the balls of the feet for more support.

After dress shopping the crew (minus some of the ladies) went to Olga's because we were all HUNGRY!

Got home and relaxed a little bit before dinner plans with Brooke and Ryan!  We met them at Los Amigos for some Mexican food.  I ordered two chicken tacos with rice and beans.

Ryan and Brooke introduced us to a hilarious new show!  Tosh.0.  Check it out! 

And thus endith my weekend!

On the healthy living front:

I have Jury Duty tomorrow.  I have no idea how I'm going to handle the snacking or lunch situation!

On the fashion front:

My summer outfits for the weekend.

On the active front:

I did 3 miles in roughly 40 minutes.  After getting owned by Kensington Park, I decided that I will just take it easy on my runs.  For the 3 mile run, I jogged for 1/2 mile to the park.  Then I did a walk/run combo around the park, and then ran back 1/2 mile from the park to my house.  I hope that switching my running day from Saturday to Sunday won't bite me in the booty in the end.  It was nice to have two consecutive days of rest after working out for four days last week, but I really want to stick with the training schedule.
