Friday
Breakfast
Whole Wheat Waffle with Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter and Black Currant Jam
Went to work, did my time, then it was off to lunch. I really need to get better at packing a lunch! With all the bbq's from last weekend, we've been on the go ever since. It's been hard to find the time to cook or prepare lunch.
I went to Great Wraps again at ordered the Falafel Veggie Hummus wrap this time I got curly fries
Enjoyed the latest Glamour Magazine during my lunch time!
Back to the daily grind. I ducked out a little bit early so that I could make it to my dinner date with my friend Donna! It's been soooooooooooooooo long since we have been able to go out just the two of us. It's sad when life gets so hectic that you forget to reconnect with people. I know that I need to make more of an effort to reach out more. I think it's because many of my friends reach out to me or me and Marcin, that I forget that there are other friends that I need to reach out to myself.
We went to Thai Bistro for dinner. I've been there once before and enjoyed the food. I don't know why I haven't gone back to it, but now is as good a time as any.
Dinner
Stir-Fried Baby Corn with Pork
It was yummy in the tummy! Not only was the eats good, but it was great company as well. Donna and I really reconnected and it was good for both of us to do so. We ended up going back to my place and talking till almost 11!
Saturday
I thought that we would be sleeping in, but alas NO! Marcin had to take his car to the shop to get his air conditioner fixed. So off we went to drop his car at 8:00 AM, then went back home to sleep some more. When we woke up, we got to work on a special breakfast - Russian Blinis.
Check out my NEW Recipes of the Day Page (at the top in the banner) for more details on this recipe. I'm trying to cut down on my individual blog posts by moving recipes to a separate page. I created the Recipes of the Day Page to consolidate my recipes and also make it easier for you and me to find favorite recipes!
The rest of the day was spent on wedding stuff. We've ordered our wedding bands. I let Marcin choose the band that he likes and I ordered the same. Then we went to set-up the tux rental for Marcin and his groomsmen. I may be a little biased, but the tux that Marcin is going to wear is niiiice and sexy! :) I can't wait to see him in it at the wedding! You could say that this day of wedding errands was all about Marcin! LOL!
We picked up Marcin's mom and took her out for dinner at Macaroni Grill. She had a coupon for their Center Cut Lamb Skewers and wanted to use it.
Dinner:
Sangria to wet the whistle
Antonio's Beef Rigatoni (excuse the blurry picture, I was in a hurry to eat my dinner!)
After dinner, we went home and took the initiative to clean our bathroom. Our shower was getting a little too crazy with the mold. We didn't realize how much until we started to clean it. Nothing a little (or A LOT) of bleach can handle. However, this girl mixed some chemicals that shouldn't be mixed and inhaled said chemicals. Needlessly to say, all the windows were opened and the bathroom vent remained on for a very long time to clear the air. I'm still feeling the after effect. I kind of have this feeling like I accidentally swallowed a lot of water that went down the wrong pipe.
After cleaning and airing out our bathroom, Marcin and I relaxed with a OnDemand movie.
Sunday
Breakfast:
I decided to make my own very of a Sausage Egg McMuffin.
2 whole wheat waffles smeared with bunny mush, one slice of muenster cheese, 1 Boca burger patty (Bruschetta Tomato Basil Parmesan), 1 poached egg. Of course, mustard and ketchup was added to this sandwich!
We went grocery shopping for some much needed supplies. I was excited because Kroger had the 2 main ingredients that I needed to make my favorite Filipino dessert - Coconut milk and Rice flour!
I also took Marcin to the Chinese Market by our house for some things we will need for the Asian themed dinner that I'm planning for tonight! Stay tuned!
When we got home, Marcin went golfing with his friends and I finally popped in the DVD that went with my foam roller.
I was hoping for a more structured exercise routine with the foam roller, but instead it was more of an informational visual of the many different exercises that you can do with the foam roller. The DVD didn't give you time to work both sides of your body, didn't give you an "number of reps" or amount of time you should do each exercise. I think that for now, until I get the hang of each exercise, I will have to play the routine twice, one for each side to get the full effect. Now I have the ABC Family Harry Potter Marathon going on in the background. Anyone else excited for the Deathly Hallows coming out in November! I know that I am! I get the chills every time I see the trailer for the new movie!
Once I finish this post, I'm going to get to work on tomorrow's breakfast, dinner, and dessert! Stay tuned!
