Odd ball post

I know I have 4 days worth of eats I should be reporting to you folks, but I think that in the fairness of time and your eyes, I will just stick to the highlights!

Thursday
For breakfast I had a Shakeology Shake that my friend Kyle gave me to sample!  I mixed it with milk and it tasted like chocolate pudding!  YUMS!  Downside - it's $119.00 for a 30 day supply!

Friday
I woke up with a migraine.  :(  It's really my fault.  It's been a crazy busy week and I've been slacking on my B2 vitamin regimen.  Taking the vitamins have really helped with my migraines.  I had moved the bottle to a different coutner in the kitchen, and since I'm the type of person that needs to see those things in plain sight in order to remember to take them, I have been negligent in my regimen.  So after pretty much sleeping all day (which includes a 3 hour nap on our couch when I originally planned to read), I was doing better by the evening.  A bit slow, but better.

Saturday
Spent the day cleaning the house and running pre bridal shower errands!  Big thanks to my sister and my best friend Donna for coming over and helping fix up the gifts and favors.

Sunday
Bridal Shower Day!  By Special Request from SherRon from Shoes to Lose,  here is a picture explosion of the event!  :)

The Center Pieces
The Rubber Duckies were used in our Rubber Ducky Game.  Each guest got to take one rubber ducky home!  Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the favors.  They were shower gels from Bath and Body Works or Emotion Bombs from Lush.

My sister, Stella, and my dad decorating the Gift table

My sister leading us in the Rubber Ducky Game.
In this game, she listed fun facts about me and Marcin, if someone at the table had the same thing in common, they could take a rubber ducky.

For example, Sherry read: "Marcin and Jessica have lived in two different states. Marcin briefly lived in Florida during his first stay in the United States. Jessica lived in Syracuse, New York for a summer for an internship. If you have lived in another state for more than 3 months, take any rubber ducky."  I stole this idea from Brooke's (of Brookies Cookies and More) bridal shower!  Thank you Brooke!

We gave our mom presents for all their help with the shower, our wedding, and our home!  My mom said that she was going to cry . . .but she held it together!

We had small bath tubs for white chocolate (with a hint of lemon) duckies.  My coworker Denise made them for the shower!  They were a hit!

Our guests playing the Groom Rubber Ducky Hot Potato Game

I decided to shake things up a bit when it came to the gift opening time.  So we had our guest sit in a semi circle on the other side of the room.  They passed around the Groom rubber ducky while music played.  When the music stopped, whoever is holding the rubber ducky is whose gift I was going to open!  It worked out really well for the most part!

Check out this card that Ying (of Travel.Food.Joy.Memories) made for me. . . That's me . .on the card!

Yeah, that's me with a big bow on my head.  I was embracing Lady Gaga at that moment.

My dad doing his part and wrangling the gifts so that clean up would be faster!

Mommy K and Mommy S Unite!

Marcin was giving a speech and mentioned that we have 10 weeks left . . .I started to faint . .not really . . but when you hear 10 weeks instead of 2 and half months, it really puts things in perspective!

So, there you have it!  My bridal shower.  If you couldn't guess, the theme was Rubber Ducky.  Thank you to the wonderful staff at the DoubleTree Hotel in Novi for helping us!  Coincidentally, this is the same venue for our wedding!  I just know it's going to be great!

As for the eats . . .well . .let's just say this girl needs to get back on track and actually eat something!
