I'm currently waiting for the second coat of primer to dry before we can paint our office. What was once called the Toy Story Room:
is now a blank slate!
I'm so excited about the new paint!
Friday night was a BBQ at the Van Belle's (a.k.a. Ryan and Brooke's from Brookie's Cookies and More. Check out her blog for the delicious treats she provided for the occasion). While at the party, I found out that Brooke's sister-in-law, Laura also reads my blog! Thank you for the support Laura! She told me that alot of what I make is gluten free. Laura has started following a gluten free diet plan due to a new allergy that presented itself after the birth of her twin boys (who are THE CUTEST twin boys I have ever met! Sorry, no picture :(
Learning that some of my meals were gluten free was a pleasant surprise on my part! Now, I'm going to do more research on it for fun. I know that I won't be able to be 100% gluten free, but if it means a healthier Jessica and Marcin, than it wouldn't hurt to add more to the eating rotation!
Tne bbq was your usual fare - Hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, veggies and dip, cookies, and potatoes. I tried (please note "tried") to make a conscious effort NOT to stand around the food so that I do not gorge myself on all the deliciousness. I was successful some of the time, but other times, the conversations found it's way back to the kitchen island where all the food was. I think next time, I will make more of effort to have my camera on hand so that my hands have something else to do than graze on the eats!
It was nice to finally sleep in for a day! By the time all was said and done, breakfast occured around 1:00 pm! Disgusting I know, but sometimes very much needed!
Breakfast
I wanted Dunkin Donuts, and Dunkin Donuts was had!
I had the Chocolate frosted cake donuts and Marcin had the lemon filled one. I also had the hash browns.

After running a few errands, we went back to the house and got started on the second coat of primer. The room had a dark blue trim that refused to be covered by one coat of primer! It should be dry now . .so it's off to paint this room in Hazy Jade! Want to see the finished product? I guess you have to stay tuned!
In the meantime, I give you my primed splattered arm!
Oddly enough, there was more primer speckles on my arm . . I washed most of it off in order to start blogging!
