EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale Review

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!

So it's 1-1-11.  What better way to start any healthy living goals this new year than at quite literally SQUARE ONE!  As you all know, I have a new goal.  Get to my happy weight of 125 by my 30th birthday.  I'm actually aiming for the 120-125 range because I feel that aiming for a range is a bit healthier than a solid weight number.

One tool that I will be using to help me reach is the EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale.

In early December, I received the EatSmart Bathroom scale from EatSmart to review.  I've spent the past couple of weeks comparing the scale to my cheap Target scale that I original had:
Here are my thoughts on the scale:

PROS:
1) CONSISTENCY:  The EatSmart scale is extremely consistent.  It gave me the same measurement each time I stepped on the scale within a few seconds.  The Target scale . . not so much!  Consistency is key when trying to gauge any gains or loss in weight as you begin your healthy living practice.

2) IMMEDIACY:   The EatSmart Scale is design to measure your weight as soon as you step on the scale.  There is no need to "tap" the scale to activate it.  Step with one foot and step with the other and your weight displays within seconds.  Once it is done measuring, it will blink the weight three times.

3) CLARITY:  The EatSmart Scale display is bright and clear:  I will let the picture do the talking:

This picture was taking standing up with a little bit of zoom on my camera

CONS:
1) SIZE:  The EatSmart scale is a bit wider (12" x 13") than I'm used to for a scale.  It took up quite a bit of room in the corner of my bathroom along with my Target scale.  But really, how many people have two scales?  So I'm thinking that when I FINALLY get rid of the Target scale, the size of the EatSmart scale will be negligible.

2) GLASS:  The EatSmart scale is made up of sturdy tempered glass which is a neat, clean, modern look.  However, if you are a klutz like me, the glass makes it really easy to forget that the scale is there and you can easily bump into it.  Again, because I had the scale side by side to my Target scale, it was taking up too much room, and made it awkward to work around in my bathroom.  Again, once I get rid of the Target scale, I think that this is also negligible.

So overall, the EatSmart scale is a great investment ($28.95 on Amazon.com) for your weightloss needs.  The scale comes ready to use out of the package and 4 AAA batteries are already included.

Today, at 1-1-11, I'm starting my journey to get rid of those last pesky pounds to get to my happy weight.  My starting weight:

Yikes!  I gained four pounds since my last weigh in!  Not good!  But I will not let myself feel defeated about this.  Instead I'm going to look forward.  It's a new year and by golly, I will achieve this goal!

Thank you to the folks at EatSmart for taking a chance and giving this newbie a chance to do her first product review!

Happy New Years everyone out there in the blog-o-sphere!  Let's make 2011 a great year!

I have your old scale I think I might have to look into getting that new one that you have. I definitely need to get rid of those last few pounds as well. I think I gained a small village in my stomach, butt and thighs over the holiday lol.

I always panic when I have to weigh myself at the doctors! I think they intentionally add five pounds to their scale.
