On the Beauty Front Wednesday: Boscia Kit - Review Part #1

Happy Hump Day Folks!

Back in December, I ordered a Boscia Skin Care sample set from Sephora.  The funny thing is, I went through all the free samples that got first (you can read my reviews on most of those samples here, here, and here).

I wanted to wait until I was pretty much done with my current skin care products before I started with the Boscia products.  Last week, I finally opened this bad boy up!

I was interested in Boscia products because:
A) It's oil free which is great for my combination skin!
B) Boscia is a preservative free and botanically-based skin care line.

So when the opportunity came to try this sample set came up, I took advantage of it.  I started using most of the products since last week.

This cleanser is really light and you really do not need a whole lot of the product to cleanse your face.  One pump from the sample is more than enough to cleanse my face and neck every night!  The lack of a overpowering scent is also a bonus!

I use this in the morning under my make-up.  If I'm using a moisturizer like this, then I typically do not wear a primer.  This does have the same consistency (and a little hint of scent) of a sunscreen.  It does smooth over quite well over the face and absorbs well.  Also, unlike a sunscreen, the daily hydration does not leave an oily sheen on your face.

I typically use this for evening events since in the morning I use the daily hydration.  Lucky for me, I had a very special occassion this weekend to test out this product!

My friends Adam and Rachelle got engaged!!!!

Congrats to the happy couple!

So I used the primer under my make up when getting ready for the celebration:

The primer absorbed very well and helped keep my make-up in place.  Isn't my husband handsome!?

The jury is stil out on this one.  I've been using Garnier's Skin Renew Eye Roller and I feel that the roller applicator works to massage the product around your eyes without the pulling from your fingers.  I'm being good and using the ring finger to apply this product, but I just feel like I'm not getting enough of it around my eyes.  I may just use this strictly at night.  So the only thing  I can really say is that so far, I have experienced no irritation.

Like the Daily Hydration, the Nightly Hydration is light and smooths over the face very nicely.  The lotion is lighter than the Daily Hydration.  I'm assuming that is because it doesn't have SPF in it.  It aborbs well into the face and does not leave a greasy, oily sheen.

These "linens" are very thin, but do a good job of absorbing the oil.  I would love to get a pack for the summer, when it is really humid in Michigan, because that is when I am SHINE CENTRAL!  The Green Tea ones do not have a strong scent (it's almost non-existent).  I typically use one in the afternoon, but that is only because I think about it.  I probably need another sheet in the early evening depending on what I'm doing.

So the only product that I haven't use is:
Clarifying Detox Mask.  I may do that tonight after my run!  Stay Tuned!
