Even though I’m a tomboy by nature, I’m a Purse-aholic. I have become obsessed with them. I research new styles, search for budget friendly versions, and have designer purse sources that I go to for faux versions or the real deal. At one point, I was buying new purses just to have them. Some I used to no end, others I used once and found something I didn’t like.
When it came time to reign in my spending and live on a budget, I had to do something about my purse obsession.
The solution: Create a "Purse of the Month" schedule!
I’ve taken my current set of purses and assigned a month for each purse based on a theme. Currently, I have 3 months without purses, so when I see purses online or at a store, I have to think “What month will this purse go for?” This turns my obsession into a focused mission.

OWNED: Sparrow True Cross body handbag that I bought at Marshall's. For the winter months, I like to have purses with two straps - a cross body strap and a shoulder strap. This gives me more flexibility to lug things around.

OWNED: Kathy Van Zeeland Marbella Top Zip Bag in burgundy I bought via eBags. Obviously, a red purse in honor of Valentines Day.

OWNED: Faux Chanel Purse that I got at a local boutique in Downtown Plymouth, MI – Bella Mia. I like the bright green color to remind me that Spring is coming AND St. Patty's Day.

OWNED: Black and White Saddle bag from Naturalizer. I think it’s got that Back to School or Ivy League vibe to it.

OWNED: My Madison Leather Hippie Coach Purse I know that some might find it weird that I would wear a white purse in October. But October is my wedding month, and a white purse seemed appropriate to me!
